St. Croix - EAGLE, a project funded by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), is presenting Free Workshops at the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) on April 9-11, 2025. These workshops offer technical assistance in training organizations to access funding opportunities for the development of sustainable initiatives that address the environmental and energy needs of their community.
With a firm commitment to community empowerment, EAGLE continues to expand its impact in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands providing technical assistance to nonprofit organizations, community leaders, and local entities.
Through a series of free programs and workshops, EAGLE’s technical assistance centers (Hubs) train these organizations to access funding opportunities.
“Our goal is to empower communities to bring transformative projects to life,” said Dr. Yogani Govender, Director of EAGLE. “We want to ensure that resources reach those who need them most and that each initiative has a real and lasting impact.”
EAGLE works closely with more than 340 organizations and plans to provide over 10,920 hours of training and technical assistance in the next three years. Its approach targets both urban and rural communities, including local, tribal, and state non-governmental entities, as well as utility service providers, ensuring inclusive and equitable access to environmental and energy resources and solutions.
